Junellie is a sophomore at the UMD whose interest in astrophysics sprung at an early age in her home country of Puerto Rico.

The upcoming Large Synoptic Survey Telescope has a wide field of view allowing it to scan the entire visible sky multiple times in a night. A challenge for such telescopes is the atmospheric turbulence which is not uniform across the field of view and is hard to model and remove. Credit: LSST
